LIVEMINDS LIMITED (“We”) are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

This privacy policy (together with our Terms and Conditions and any other documents referred to on it) sets out the basis by which we process personal data.  Please read the following carefully in order to understand our practices regarding your personal data and how we process it.

For the purpose of the UK Data Protection Act 1998 (the Act), the data controller is LIVEMINDS LIMITED of 20 Ropemaker Street, London, EC2Y 9AR.

Information we may collect from you

We may collect and process the following data about you:

  • Information that you provide by filling in forms on our site liveminds.com (our site). This includes information provided at the time of registering to use our site, subscribing to our service, posting material, or requesting further information or services. We may also ask you for information when you enter a competition or promotion sponsored by us and when you report a problem with our site.
  • Details of transactions you carry out through our site and of the fulfilment of your orders.
  • Details of your visits to our public site, Facebook apps, research platform and use of our mobile apps, whether this is required for our own billing purposes or otherwise and the resources that you access.
  • Information that you provide by sharing Facebook profile data or by filling in forms and surveys when applying to take part in a market research project.
  • Paper forms that you complete and return to us.
  • Conversations with you, either in person or on the phone, which may be recorded for quality assurance and training purposes.
  • Emails and text messages that you send to us and we send to you.
  • If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.
  • Messages you send us through social media and comments you publish on our social media accounts.
  • Information about you that we gather through your participation in market research, including but not limited to: questions, blogs, diaries, journals, interviews, surveys, through the Liveminds platform accessible through the Liveminds online market research platform and mobile applications. By completing surveys and questionnaires on our site or through software that you download from our site.
  • Details of transactions you carry out through our site and of the fulfilment of your orders.

IP addresses

We may collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to improve our services.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies to distinguish you from other users of our website. This helps us to provide you with a good experience when you browse our website and also allows us to improve our site. Our mobile apps and market research platform also use cookies for authentication purposes.

Where we store your personal data

The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area ("EEA"). It may also be processed by staff employed in organisations outside the EEA, who work for us, or for one of our clients. Such staff may be engaged in, amongst other things, the analysis of your data for the purposes of market research.  By submitting your personal data you agree to this transfer. We take reasonable steps to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password that enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone or to write it down or store it electronically (unencrypted) in full.

The transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. While we transmit all web data over secure connections, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

Information usage

  • To provide security for you when using the Liveminds platform, and to enable you to reset your log in details should you forget them.

  • To carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us.

  • To allow you to participate in interactive features of our service, when you choose to do so.

  • To notify you about changes to our service.

  • To provide you with information about our goods and services which may be of interest to you, where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes, via email or social media.

  • To confirm you are still interested in and available for, taking part in market research projects for which you have previously applied.

  • To send you invitations to take part in market research projects, which you have successfully applied for and subsequently reconfirmed your interest and availability.

  • To carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, including but not limited to, reminders of the schedule of activities in market research projects, directions to venues where you are scheduled to participate in face to face research, and the payment of incentives to reward you for your participation in those projects.

  • To respond to any queries, suggestions, complaints or disputes that you or our clients have contacted us about. We may share your data with a client to help resolve any dispute that you or they raise about the market research project they commissioned.

  • To alert us to any problems with, and to maintain the smooth running of, our applications and services.

Disclosure of your information

We may disclose your personal information to any member of our group, which means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, as defined in section 1159 of the UK Companies Act 2006.

We may disclose your personal information to third parties:

  • Where it is necessary to do so in conjunction with market research that we are conducting for a client, in which case we will pass your personal data to our client or, where that client is acting as an agency, to that agency’s eventual client for the purposes of that market research.

  • In the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets.

  • If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our terms of use and other agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our customers, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

  • To enable us to run targeted promotions for you on social media platforms such as Facebook or Linked In.

  • If we need the professional advice of lawyers and technology consultants.

Your rights

You have the right to withdraw from participating in a market research project at any time. You can exercise the right by contacting us at support@liveminds.com. If you withdraw before completing the project you may not receive the agreed incentive for completing it.

You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. We will ask you for your consent if we intend to use your data for such purposes. You can also exercise the right for deletion of your data for marketing purposes at any time by contacting us at: support@liveminds.com.

Our site may, from time to time, contain links to and from the websites of our partner networks, advertisers and affiliates.  If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies.  Please check these policies before you submit any personal data to these websites.

Subject access requests

The Act gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our administrative costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you. Changes to your information

Personal data held must be up to date and accurate. Please inform us of any changes to your personal data. We will take the necessary steps to delete your information, if reasonable and practicable, if you no longer wish to use our service or participate in market research projects, questionnaires or surveys that we run.  If there are any changes to your information, or if you would like to submit a request for deletion of your data, then please contact us at: support@liveminds.com.
