Information we may collect from you

We may collect and process the following data about you:

This includes information provided at the time of registering to use our site, subscribing to our service, posting material, or requesting further information or services. We may also ask you for information when you enter a competition or promotion sponsored by us and when you report a problem with our site.

  • Details of your visits to our public site, Facebook apps, research platform and use of our mobile apps, whether this is required for our own billing purposes or otherwise and the resources that you access.
  • Information that you provide by sharing Facebook profile data or by filling in forms and surveys when applying to take part in a market research project.

  • Conversations with you, either in person or on the phone, which may be recorded for quality assurance and training purposes.

  • If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.
  • Messages you send us through social media and comments you publish on our social media accounts.
  • Information about you that we gather through your participation in market research, including but not limited to: questions, blogs, diaries, journals, interviews, surveys, through the Liveminds platform accessible through the Liveminds online market research platform and mobile applications. By completing surveys and questionnaires on our site or through software that you download from our site.
  • Details of transactions you carry out through our site and of the fulfilment of your orders.

IP addresses

We may collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to improve our services.


Our website uses cookies to distinguish you from other users of our website. This helps us to provide you with a good experience when you browse our website and also allows us to improve our site. Our mobile apps and market research platform also use cookies for authentication purposes.

Where we store your personal data

The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area ("EEA"). It may also be processed by staff employed in organisations outside the EEA, who work for us, or for one of our clients. Such staff may be engaged in, amongst other things, the analysis of your data for the purposes of market research.  By submitting your personal data you agree to this transfer. We take reasonable steps to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password that enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone or to write it down or store it electronically (unencrypted) in full.

  • To confirm you are still interested in and available for, taking part in market research projects for which you have previously applied.

  • To send you invitations to take part in market research projects, which you have successfully applied for and subsequently reconfirmed your interest and availability.

  • To carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, including but not limited to, reminders of the schedule of activities in market research projects, directions to venues where you are scheduled to participate in face to face research, and the payment of incentives to reward you for your participation in those projects.

  • To respond to any queries, suggestions, complaints or disputes that you or our clients have contacted us about. We may share your data with a client to help resolve any dispute that you or they raise about the market research project they commissioned.

  • To alert us to any problems with, and to maintain the smooth running of, our applications and services.

Disclosure of your information

We may disclose your personal information to any member of our group, which means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, as defined in section 1159 of the UK Companies Act 2006.

We may disclose your personal information to third parties:

  • Where it is necessary to do so in conjunction with market research that we are conducting for a client, in which case we will pass your personal data to our client or, where that client is acting as an agency, to that agency’s eventual client for the purposes of that market research.

  • In the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets.

  • If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our terms of use and other agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our customers, or others. Your rights

You have the right to withdraw from participating in a market research project at any time. You can exercise the right by contacting us at If you withdraw before completing the project you may not receive the agreed incentive for completing it.

The Act gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act.
